Re: Re-power

Thanks to all for the responses to my earlier post. Went to the boat today for the first time since the first of November in order to charge the batteries, which I should have done a month ago. Damn, the old boat was standing tall, pretty clean, bilge dry and no boat smell, even in the head. Per sug...

Re: Re-power

A good part of the problem is the availability of a mechanic that's familiar with the old Chrysler engines. I'm 73 and my guy is a year older than me. Started with a dead cylinder and determined that a valve job was in order. Mechanic went down with an injury and lost 5 weeks, after pulling the head...

Re-power

Good afternoon to all, Having spent a miserable, expensive and frustrating 2016 boating season due to engine problems, I've come to the realization that I've got to re-power or get out of boating (again). I purposely bought my 72 28' express for the reason that it was a basic platform that I could h...

1978 32' express, FB

Good evening all, Helped my son finish Winterizing his 37' Big M this afternoon and he mentioned another m on the dock that I had seen some 2 years ago before buying my 72 28' Express. This boat is a 1978, 32' express FB that I believe is a fisherman model. Twin engine, I believe with 360's, marine ...

Re: Exhaust manifold, 1972 318-325

Thanks so much for the quick reply. What would one of your used ones cost and are you able to ship. I'd like to visit and pick it up but it's a long haul from Tennessee.

Re: Heads for a 318

Well, it seems I'm still searching for a 1972 318 head for my 28' express, single. The mechanic says, as best he can tell, the casting # is 2843875-21. EWRice, you mentioned that with the casting number you would check to see if you might have one compatible, if you would do this I would be grateful...
