Re: Water in my front compartment
My front and rear compartments are separated by the firewall in the engine area in my boat so I do not see any flow back and forth.

Re: Rudder shaft corossion concern.
I would switch to bronze if in the need to redo it. The bronze packing gland should not even touch the rudder if installed and packed correctly. it is a non factor. I believe my packing glands for the rudders rise above my resting waterline, anyone else? I have realized I gain bilge water when under...

Re: Water in my front compartment
This is an old question but after years of curiosity and looking I am certain that air conditioned Marinette hulls condensate on the hull sides and run down into the bilge in the summer. My boat never gets enough water to pump it out but the amount is always relative to how much and how long the AC ...

Re: Left Hand or Right Hand - What is standard?
And on top of all that my transmissions out is the reverse of my engine rotation !! So my reverse rotation engine is on my port side to allow the propellers to turn typically of most twin engine boats. It is simple but gets confusing.

Re: For Sale/Trade 1973 32' Marinette FB Express
Great looking boat, It will certainly sell and looks like a good deal to me. I see a lot of good caring owners buying them up due to the inherent value of the aluminum hulls, classic good looks and the support of sites like this one to share questions and answers. They are starting into what I see a...

Re: Aft Deck Restoration
I am 260 lb and do not think my original 5/8" decking feels at all springy. I have replaced the hatch and the section forward of it thus far. My hatch had gotten rotten and the section in front of it was beginning to sag in the middle over time and held water. in a pool. I need to do the three ...

Re: Exhaust hose advice
Mine is all originally set up in the factory hangers and it is not designed with any trap arrangement, in fact you want the water to fall away from the motors naturally. Also, on getting the old hose off, I remembering using a set of good wire cutters to segment the hard wire that is spirally wound ...

Re: Hull Preparation & Painting
An epoxy coating will hold up much!!! better than anti fouling in a beaching situation. I have a friend who used an epoxy that was sold for water tower interior liners and it was amazing at staying put after all the anti fouling was worn off from beaching. I have 2000E on mine but have not beached m...

If it is the single pocket pump with one impeller you will want a Sherwood 10615, very common impeller.

You will likely find a solenoid valve leaking back to tank if not loosing fluid overall. They sell them as parts. I agree they are great people. Big Bennett fan here good company.
