Pull that collar off it is the exact distributor. Yes both distributors are exactly the same .There is no such thing as a reversing distributor for these motors. Just check with Prestolite, holly pertronix, you can call Hurrikain Marine . I checked with all of them , the part # for both distributors is the same. Do not waist your time looking for a...

I also had an issue like that for my application there were two different rotors.
The rotor that was installed was hitting the cap. the correct rotor solved that issue.

Mine did affect both engines, Also could not get past 2,000 rpms. I checked everything, couldnt find the problem. I had the boat pulled the rudders had 2" of barnacles some on the props also. After cleaning rpms whent back to normal. If one prop is covered with barnacles could be an issue with ...

I had yhe same issue with mine. The problem was the springs were loaded up with muck. You do need to remove the carbs to remove the and inspect the springs.
