I have 73 with 318s & I seldom go to above 3000 rpms considering the engines are over 40 years old .The question is how fast is fast enough? Enjoy the the trip.

Have a duel pocket pump on 318 that both impeller are missing parts,
How do I get out the missing pieces? Looked in thermostat housing & saw nothing.

Great link. I have been wondering hot to test for current leakage. Taking my amp-probe to the dock tonight. I think marinas should have some type of alarm when this happens.

I have replaced mine. Went to a suppler that carried the Plexiglas and bought a sheet. While I was there they sold me a special drill bit to drill the Plexiglas without cracking the plastic. Cut it with a jig saw. Mine has a alum. extrusion on top edge. Don't think I would attach canvas to Plexiglas...
