Quick update on my friends 32. The launch went fine. The shafts were unaffected by the lay-up on the cradle and the boat ran well. Hopefully the start of a great season. thanks for the suggestions and replies.

Sean, at the request of my friend, I would rather not. Mainly because their service has been outstanding and this event seems to be an oversight and an anomaly. I will keep the forum posted on whatever the solution.

Thanks everyone for the input. FYI, the cutlass bearings did not look too good with the weight on the shafts, so we will have to see.I will keep you posted on how this plays out.

While diesels would be awesome, I agree that you would have to run the boat for many many hours to offset the cost. I have seen a number of re-power projects using new gas blocks with much success. A friend re-powered with new 350s about 6 years ago. Overall improvement in efficiency and a real swee...
