I got my new to me 1978 28 express out this past weekend and my Capac is reading around .4, less than the "protected value" on the guage. Is this a problem? If so any suggestions on where to go would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Fuel filter-'78 318
I have a 78 express, single 318 and I am having a hard time finding a fuel filter for it. It has an in line filter plumbed into the copper line and attached to one of the starboard valve cover bolts with a p clamp. Sorry I don't have any pictures but I think this was installed on a lot of the older ...

Re: Trailer for 28' express
I just bought one of these trailers for the 1978 28 express I bought. I pulled the boat home on the trailer 600 miles, pulled great at 65mph. this trailer seems a good deal, I paid 2000 for mine, mine was built for a 32 though so it is a little bigger. http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/boa/49664...

Trim Tab Pump
I had forgotten that the trim tab pump was missing on my 1978 28 express that I just picked up and got home. I noticed it last fall when I inspected the boat but forgot all about that. Does anyone know what model pump will work with my system? It has the original joystick style switch on the dash if...

Re: New guy/new owner here
So, Got the boat fired up last night on the hose, didn't even do a tune up, just wanted to see if it would fire. It started after about 30 seconds of cranking and ran perfect other than a little burble on fast acceleration. We will see how it runs under a load, maybe get it in the water this weekend.

spark plugs
I am going over and getting running the 1978 28 express I just got. I looked up the plugs in a book and it said Champion RN12yc were the right plugs, I pulled the old plugs yesterday to put oil in the cylinders and the engine had RN14yc plugs in it.... Which is correct?

Re: Hull plugs
Thanks guys for the help, just one plug on mine, starboard of center just aft of the v birth. We got the boat loaded on my trailer and home no problem. Looks like the plug on mine may be brass, I have to clean up and check. Should be stainless to prevent corrosion issues correct?
