Re: Gaskets for San Juan Bellingham strainer
Pool silicone pool grease works best. very sticky will holds gasket in place.
Trick is to hole the plex. cover from turning when tightening lid. Gasket will not move as easily.

Re: looking for trailer/info for 1970 28'
Are you planning on bunking it to work on it?
You need to consider:
Max. transport height is 13 ft. 6 inch
Width: Over 8 ft 6 inch requires permit
Legal trailer with brakes expensive.
You may want to consider having a transport company move boat to your new location.
Just a though.

Re: whistle noise when shifting in gear
There are flow valves in the Velvet similar to an automotive transmission. All the reverse gear does is hydro pressure forces a band on a cone. If the valves to not seat properly (dirty or low oil) it can cause the whistle you are referring to. As I recall there may be an adjustment I would need to ...

Thanks Bill means a lot to me. Sellers Beware! Now here is a heads up ! I was going to list her with POP Yachts. I was told that the only cost was the 10 percent commission. FALSE!
