Re: 1976 Chrysler 360's (2)

Mechanic once used dye successfully to trace our leak. Works on cooling water system, too. That said, next place to look is oil pressure sender where plastic top cracks way too often. Once, I was working in engine compartment and saw it crack before my eyes. That was lucky, because ten minutes later...

Re: question about propeller racing in foul seas

In bad weather, passengers should be told to stay put, roaming not very safe. If you have strong/heavy/big following seas (not good), tabs should be off/retracted/up. Or at least in a neutral positon. If they are down, they will keep the nose down and when you ski down a fast moving roller, the bow ...

Re: radar

If you want a quick, informed briefing on marine radar, go to the West Marine site. I just checked for you and found two articles- easy to understand, not a lot of tech mumbo jumbo. Go here and then scroll down to ELECTRONICS to get the link to two good pieces: https://www.westmarine.com/WestAdvisor...

Private message outbox stuck

I tried to send two PM's the other day and I see they both are still listed as being in my outbox. Is that normal site behavior?

Re: Fold Down Masthead light

Under 40', as I read the regs, your masthead light covers the 225 forward arc, the stern light, facing aft, covers the remaining 135 degrees so there's light visible all around. That forward light should come up higher than the windshield. That said, we had a 360 light forward plus the stern light. ...
