Re: Battery ground to hull?
I am going to rewire my grounding system because my corrosion issue is still bad and I'm noticing that my starter isn't engaging like it used to and the ground wire is warm after turning it over. Not sure how it will effect the fact that my CAPAC doesn't read anything even after replacing my underwa...

Seacock Replacement
Anyone know the correct part / size of the seacock? Mine has a bunch of corrosion and I just figured out that its brass.
I don't feel so good about it so I'm going to pull the boat for a week and do the bottom, prop, seacock and nodes in the next couple weeks.
Please let me know ASAP
Thanks!

Re: CAPAC and Hull Potential question
I've been adding new anodes to the boat and it isn't making a difference on my CAPAC. Still reading 0.1. Might it be busted? My oil gage just busted so maybe I have an issue in the panel? Added another 6ft keel anode (I have 2 on there) 2x new shaft anodes, 5 dangling anodes, new trim anodes, new ru...

Got her tied up with 2 sets of lines (one for higher than usual surge & one for "holy *%@!" level surge.
Bimini & solar panel removed, everything strapped to the back deck, tarped, netted. Lets see what happens

Re: Hurricane prep?
Thank you so much for the info! I'll be in that mode today. Thinking about removing the bimini top because it snapped in a much lesser storm. I'm going to charge up the batteries in anticipation. I'm docked up river in a place called "Hurricane Cove" that the old timers say is the best pla...

Any thoughts on what to do to protect the boat? Its not covered and I'm not really all that sure what to do to prepare.

Re: Prop change
I'm looking for a 14x9 myself because I think my current prop is 14x11 or 10 (can't remember, only know its pitched too much) I can't get above 3200 rpm and that maxes me at 15mph on flat days at sea. My 73 28 express in Ohio does 24mph in the same conditions and I believe is a very old 14x9 (maybe ...
