Re: Bow Rail Restoration
I like that spacer. Did you use and sealant or silicone? I wonder how thin of plastic one could use for the spacer under the rail stanchion base? I have access to many thicknesses of plastic but not all is UV inhibited. Most of the material that is good for outdoor use is a little under 1/16" t...

Re: Paint scheme
Thank you Joel. Maybe I should have stated, this isn't the red I would use. I just edited a pic that I had to show what I thought about painting red. I would probably go with a deeper red. I kind of like red white & blue... but what do I know. I would like to redo it all in red but the canvas is...

Paint scheme
I'm going to be doing some painting on my 39 over the next year. The railing is currently black as the boat is in the process of transitioning to blue trim. I was considering adding a 3rd color for the railing. I'm am thinking of going with red for the railing and maybe some red in the boat name. I ...

Re: Help me name her!
IMHO The name choice should be personal to you. What are your interest or views toward life? "Get Busy Livin" may be perfect for you. I like it a lot. Otherwise, including the name of a female that is important to you is usually a good place to start. If you're married, that probably shoul...

Re: Engine oil, transmission fluid and filter types for Chrysler 360
No. Straight 30W. Many recommend it for these older motors. Probably not ideal if you run it in the winter.
I have 1986 454 Crusaders and a single 360 in my old 28. I plan to go to 30W in both.

Shell Rotello is available in straight 30W also.
I have used 15W40 in the past but I am going to 30W Shell rotello plus the ZDDP.
