The parallel switch is designed for momentary use only for cranking engines. If pushing the switch makes everything work, then you most likely have a bad/dead battery. The push button is the parallel switch. It uses both batteries to crank each engine.
You mentioned momentarily running the blower etc while holding that switch in.....have you tried cranking the port engine while pushing in that parallel switch?
Have you checked battery voltage for all batteries?

I 2nd Jeff's reinforcement suggestion. Marinette hulls do crack. I've seen 2 models that cracked up near the chine and the welder told me he has repaired a handful of Marinettes.

Very curious to see how the hull performs at planing speeds. I have experienced a 37' sedan with twin 502 Crusader inboard re-power. I've seen other manufacturers not use strainers but every Marinette I have seen had them. All boats should have shut offs.
