Re: Help! Scentry 410 Vapor Sensor

Do not depend on the test button on the monitor... it only tests the head not the sensor! Check every season. Place sensor low in the bilge but high enough where it will not get wet. They do not do well when submerged. Test the sensor with a butane lighter (Not Lit) Flick your lighter outside in the...

Re: Hard Starting

It is common with quads that after sitting a week... the fuel will drain off. Actually this is a good thing. Fuel sitting in the carbs for long periods can cause problems. Anyway you do not need to crank for 30 sec. (that is a long time and very hard on starters) . Crank for only a few seconds... st...

Startbrite: Non Skid Deck cleaner works great! Used it for years on entire deck. I by it by the gallon from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Star-brite-Non-Skid-Cleaner-Gallon/dp/B0000C6HOI/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=FNN54BCBKXD&keywords=starbrite+deck+cleaner+non+skid&qid=1557679873&s=gateway&a...

Re: Zincs- More is better?

There is still confusion regarding galvanic protection. I have used a mag. hang over anode for 15 years now to bring my numbers up. I have the correct anodes on my 29 provided by BoatZincs.com. While the numbers increase they still fell short of the recommended -.95- -105 . mv By using the mag anode...

For reliability replace them all.... I know it hurts... but welcome to boating!

Mine are fine but dreading when it is time. I no longer can do that kind of work so Ouch.... at the mercy of the marina.

I have dreams of new crate engines with closed cooling !

Re: Engine Temperature spike

Had same problem a few years back... turned out sucking air at the strainer. Was ok at idle then loss of flow at higher rpms.

Often the leak is the O ring on the center bolt of the strainer lid.
