Re: Air horns

Those mud dobbers are a pain! On my 73, the air horns are Hadley's with a holding tank in the bilge. The air pump runs off the vacuum off the port carb (sounds like a valve knocking). I tested the horns with a small portable compressor first. The pump was putting out air but was not filling the tank...

Re: New here

Welcome, soap w bleach on the cheap works great from a spray bottle. Be careful and don't slip. I also use a little electric preasure washer that works great less than a $100 and less scrubbing.

Re: Hello Fellow Marinette owners

Welcome and Seanik's right, that's an express. Good luck on your project. Nice you have a trailer for it too. Did you need permits to tow it? I towed a 26' and it seemed huge going down the road.

Re: Canvas top

Wayne, That's what I'm doing. I watched the sailrite videos too. The guy at the sewing store told me to look for a Singer 301 built in the 50's, they are direct drives, no plastic gears, capable of doing canvas work. I found one on ebay and just took it in for cleaning and tune up. I've never sewed ...
