I am replacing my flybridge railing with stainless, so I would have your rectangular bases. I do not have any of the round ones.

Well, figured it out. 45 years was enough for the wire that goes from the "I" on the ignition switch to the "S" on the starter. After replacing the starter, ignition switch, battery cables, moving the ground 100 times, I finally ran a new wire from the ignition switch on the brid...

Starts with the screwdriver trick, but not the ignition switch - just a click. Oh, starter/solenoid are an hour old.

Spacing between prop and rudder
So moving to a larger prop and shaft and it seems the prop is aweful close to the rudder, maybe an inch? Is there a minimum distance that is preferred. Could not have been too much more than that with the old set up.

I would paint, but high degree paint not necessary. Paint on the bottom where it bolts to head will burn off no matter what you use - the rest does not get that hot.
