Before tearing into the carbs, grab a timing light and verify ignition advance at 2,000+ RPM. If you don't have at least 20 degrees of advance, the advance weights might be rusted or an advance spring may be broken. Easy fix and might only cost you an hour and a few squirts of oil. Well the old girl is now having ignition/fuel problems it seems :roll: backfiring under load at 2400 to 3k and losing power thinking it's carb rebuild time they havent been touched in 10 years never had any issues dont fix it if it aint broke right ;) just want to get some opinions on where the best...
