Re: Propeller purchasing - comments on...

Take the short drive up i74 to Shelbyville In. to Marks Propeller Service and he will true you nibrals, does mine all the time, I bang a set every year it seems. He is the best and fair too. Props are always smooth as silk, he has me spoiled, the smallest vibration drives me nuts. It is common to se...

Re: Transport nightmare

I would like to see a short list of midwest boat transporters that folks have had a good experience with and $/mile paid. I am looking to move mine to Erie or St. Claire for a short time, maybe a month or 6 weeks time and back to the Ohio when done.

Re: Run Dry blue impellers

This is an older thread but I bought a set of these as my spares 2 years ago and when it come time to cycle them into service I read current on everything I could find about how they were working out and the answer was poor in the real world. Re: Exhaust hose advice

The correct exhaust hose has a hard wire wound reinforcement and it not designed to expand. I done a couple of 4" sections on my boat last season and off was a little aggravating but very doable, going back on was uneventful, maybe use some soapy water to help it slide in place.

Re: 1984 360 RAW Water Pump

I just bought new Sherwood G7B's for both engines this season, I was seeming to get less life out of them between needed impeller changes each time. I might send my old ones to depco to reman as spares. For what it was worth i put new impellers in my new pumps before installation, the one was clocke...

Re: keel fin

I have a 39 Sedan and that keel is original and necessary, tracking is good and sorted out from the factory, you can feel good about keeping it original and the anode system is as well is optimized from the factory.

Re: raw water sea strainer replacement

I need one of the gaskets for the pancake style, I local marine dealer got me one but could only get one and I think it was from Buck, I think they may be out at this time. Any spares floating around, My strainers are like new and I want to keep them original as with all things on the boat but the s...

Re: Handling around the dock

SeaRay 370 SD -vs- 39 Marinette Sedan. I have had both boats in recent years and at the same time for a while, I would ten times rather run the Marinette alone due to the ability to move around the boats gunwales so easily and making it easier to handle lines. I lock through alone in my 39 at will. ...
