Re: Hynautic steering

Thank you very much Gentlemen. The pictures on page 11 and page 34 are my cylinder, at least it looks like it. I had suspected that this was a factory set-up, as most newer Hynautics installation kits use that synthetic nylon tubing for the hydraulic lines, where as mine was built with a very elabor...

Hynautic steering

Hi Folks. Well after laying her up for the winter, it was time to fix some issues. In an attempt to save a few bucks, I decided to winterize the engines myself. I figured it would be simple, just unscrew all of the pipe plugs on the block & exhaust manifolds. Unfortunately, every single plug bro...

Re: One of a kind?

Welcome aboard ! Although I live in Northern Ohio, I have heard rumors of her. The story I heard was that she was built for one of M's executives, that's why she has the big engines & creature comforts. Being a gearhead, would love to see a photo of the engine room.

Re: I think i have found the one...

I bought my 37' last year, also docked in Marblehead. I absolutely love it. I too am a mechanic, so I didn't bother with the survey. I didn't even bother with a sea trial. The only issue that reared its ugly head after the purchase, when I launched it this summer, was a leaking rudder packing which ...

Re: looking for a wiring diagram for a 1975 37' F/B sedan?

I too have a 1975 37' F/B sedan. I have most of the original manuals & documents for it, but unfortunately no wire diagrams. It is however in remarkable original condition, and I am also a mechanic for a living that specializes in vehicle wiring. If you have any questions, need photo's of the wa...

Boat on ebay

Wow, was trolling through ebay and there's a couple M's for sale. One is an interesting 1964 31' with twin Buicks ! Starting bid is $5,500, looks decent. The other is, what I believe to be, one of only two Marinette power catamarans. The reason I say one of two is because one of them, named Lay-Z-Bo...

Re: Leaving Boat In Water All Winter In Huron, Ohio

How much does your bilge leak? Keep in mind, a frozen bilge pump won't pump. I've seen photo's of folks that have done the air bubble aerators to keep their boats in water all winter, and the bilge pump freezes, and down she goes....

Re: Spark plug wires and coil

On FastJeffs advice, I was going to try using the stainless steel core ignition wires for a big block Chevy ( with Non HEI ) made by Sierra, but the engines still run good, so I haven't bothered yet. That will maybe next summer.

Re: Flybridge plexi glass

I replaced mine after it got damaged last winter while in dry-dock. I too purchased by the sheet, in Cleveland ( i live south of there ) at a place called House of Plastics. They carry any shade of plexiglass you want, clear, smoked, pink, purple, blue. I used 1/4 inch smoked on mine, looks great. M...
