Re: Fuel Starvation
Not only the anti-siphon valve but make sure the pickup tube in the fitting has not separated and sucking air. Replacing both of mine as we speak, had some carburetor problems that I now suspect may have been the pickup tube all along.

Re: 1976 Chrysler 360's (2)
Did mine this year, brand new struts and cutlass bearings, rebuilt transmissions, rebuilt engines, all new starters, alternators, water pumps, fuel pumps, carbs, belts-hoses, everything, old engines out, new in, just shy of $15,000. Still working out a few gremlins but a labor of love, I think.

Re: Carb Problem
The only thing I can think of there was a bit of debris in the needle valve seat holding it open, don't know just speculation on my part. And yes did check the oil multiple times for contamination, sure some got in but doesn't appear to be much.

Re: Carb Problem
Well I can finally report engines are running great, new carb was installed and electrical problem fixed. Can only speculate that was something stuck under one of the needle valves, don't really know though. Going forward with a new filtration system, it is my intent to double filter the fuel, first...

Re: transom gate and swim platform
Piedmont Plastics quoted me $980.00 for for a solid piece of 1"x4'x12', Starboard-textured, and somewhere in the $300.00 range for CNC Routing. Would have to modify my current supports if not replace, wheels are turning. Have you filled the openings in the transom?

Re: Wanted 28" Sportsman
Please post the pictures, interested. Had previously spoke with Piedmont Plastics about cutting a swim platform out of a solid piece of Starboard. They said no problem cutting but getting a piece any longer than 96" would be special order, not to mention expensive. Was also concerned about it l...

Re: Wanted 28" Sportsman
Where did you get your swim platform, have considered that for a future project? What was involved in the transom gate? Both are great additions.

Re: Carb Problem
With you on that one, yes fuel lines are new along with the filters, checked everything for restrictions all the way back to the tank fittings, nothing. Updating my post from July 6th I did switch the carbs port to starboard, starboard to port and the starboard engine displayed the same symptoms. Wi...

Re: Carb Problem
As of this writing the carb has been swap out with a new one but is yet untested, electrical problem with the same engine-port. Speculation from both Edlebrock and Jeggs is there is some manufacturing debris under the needle valves causing some restriction as well as a fuel dump, sounds good. Might ...
