Re: Gaskets for San Juan Bellingham strainer

I hate to dig up an old thread but just in case someone finds this and needs these here is my experience. Currently the San Juan Gaskets are on backorder, with no lead time available (Probably Covid 19 Relate). So I went to McMaster Carr and bought a 5 pack square o-ring part number 4061T355.The sta...

Re: Facebook v. Marinette Forum posts

I like using both. I often see better information here, but there is undoubtedly more users on Facebook. Plus I like seeing the pics of the boats from all over, which is usually Facebook related. Re: which prop is better

I would really like to try a set of 4 blades. It a shame because i have a spare set of stock 3 blades that match what is on the boat. They came with the boat. I really do not need a spare set for my spare set haha. If 318 and 360 boats came with the same props (I believe my 318s 240hp came with 16X1...

Re: 1980 28 Fisherman Hull Demo Project

Do you have the throttle or shifters left? I really only need parts but willing to buy the whole thing if necessary Morse? Yep. Have pieces I am interested in the black plastic covers that hide the mounting screws. They are underneath the stainless covers that you see first when its all assembled. ...

Re: What has been your process for cleaning boat bottom?

There will always be some growth on the bottoms. But i have found that the green stingy stuff only seems to grow where the sun gets to it. Unless the boat has been sitting for a long long time, i doubt the bottom is sooo bad that its worth pulling. On the other hand, pulling it out and pressure wash...

Re: Bare Bottom?

Pluckebaum Custom Boats, also aluminum only paints around the sides just for looks. The bottoms are bare aluminum unless the boats were expected to be in salt water. Also Coal Tar epoxy is extremely durable and will probably be my choice when my paint starts looking thin. I see no issues leaving the...
