I mounted a NAPA 5/16 size metal in-line filter in the metal line going to the carb. Cut the steel line and use A-1 USCG approved hoses with double hose clamps. Easy to change, and avoids vibration failures (seen two of them that could have been disastrous) with bolted in filters.

Re: Waste Tank - 1989 32 Sedan Flybridge
I managed to install an 18 gallon tank under the Vee berth. Best modification I ever made on the old gal.

PS: I have photos of the install if you want them.

Re: Waste Tank - 1989 32 Sedan Flybridge
Realistically, what responsible person would deliberately discharge the head into a lake people swim in?

Re: 39ft sedan engine hatches
I used 1/8 x 2 inch aluminum. Easy to drill the zillion holes, then countersink them so the screws are flush. A good hardware store sells it.

Re: Painting with Imron Paint
Question: What do OTHER boaters use in that area? If they don't use AF paint, you shouldn't need it. On the Chesapeake Bay your boat would add a ton of weight over the summer time without AF (and half that with it if you don't run it regularly). What does "Barkley was impounded" mean? Jeff

Re: D60 sherwood water pump cam
As I recall, the new Sherwood G7 I bought for Mr. Starboard had the impeller set up for Mr. Port. I flipped the impeller over and all was well.
Hope that helps.

Once you get access, try cleaning the cylindrical filter in the box. That might cure the problem.
