Re: Erratic tach readings

SOME tachs have an adjustment in the back for the number of cylinders, 2 vs. 4 stroke, etc. IF yours has this, use a small screw driver to push IN then turn the adjustment back and forth a few times to clean the contacts.

Re: Hot water tank

Good point, but I believe that the 'wine cellar' area (where mine was located) does not require ignition protected devices--it's on the other side of the firewall. Think of how many devices are in the cabin area that are not ignition protected: all the DC ceiling lights, the M supplied microwave, th...

Re: 1984 28 w/360 WOT?

Re: Hot water tank

I installed a 6 gallon residential unit in mine. Worked fine, but the inlet/ outlet connections were on the top, which made draining it for winter a b*tch.

Re: 318 stroker motor 330 HP 349 cu.in.

Not for a big M! Fan-damn-tasic boats. My boating buddy, with his groaning Sea Ray (28 footer with a big block), nearly fell over (literally) when I planed mine off a bit too enthusiastically. "Holy sh*t!" he gasped. And when I made a 360 degree, full lock turn at 2,000 rpm--still on plane...
