Re: interior removal for mold mitigation
Be careful buying oak plywood! They're selling stuff labeled 'hard wood plywood' with a PAPER inner ply that falls apart in the presence of moisture. Yet it 'looks' like normal plywood, cuts and sands like normal plywood... I used this garbage when I built my wooden cockpit roof and had to replace--...

Re: Ignition System Components & Locations
Like a fool I installed a 100 amp alternator on one of my engines--and it popped that 50 amp breaker on a regular basis. To solve that screw up, I purchase one of these sealed metal 'box' circuit breakers and installed it in parallel with the stock unit. No problems for about 7 years.

It should be attached to that metal thingee where the relays and oil pressure sensor is attached...unless someone already removed it to install one wire alternators (as on mine. Never saw the old regulators.) I'd recommend going to a one wire alternator. A good rebuilder can convert your alternator ...

Re: My 32 Footer is For Sale
You folks are too kind! I might take some of you up on this, when we get back to RVing. The "Admiral" has had enough of winter in PA--didn't see my lawn until late March again--and that's a large part of my motivation.
Again, thanks for the kind statements.

Re: My Project - Cost
One of the many (12 in two days) inquiries into buying y 32 footer comes from a Marinetter with a 28 footer.

Fastjeff's Law of Packing: Always use a smaller size than recommended. It's lots easier to get the rings in, and it doesn't matter in the long run after you tighten it up.

Boat has been on Craig's List for two days now and we've already got 8 inquires (a few that sound very serious).
