Re: Last change before scrap yard 1974 Express 32 hull
here is where I currently stand with the scrapping project. I was afraid to leave any parts outside because I constantly see scrap rats coming through my parking lot looking for anything they can grab. I already lost the gas tank and I dont plan on giving away anything else!

Re: Last change before scrap yard 1974 Express 32 hull
so I have begun the scrapping process. After further review of the hull it looks like she was in saltwater unprotected for a long time. Then someone did some cheap patching and painted over it. I doubt they even followed the correct process! These is still a lot of pitting visible so with that being...

Re: Mildew removal
I originally tried to use an antibacterial surface cleaner and it seamed to dry out the wood and discolor it. After looking further into the mold issue i realized that from excessive water damage due to leaks means the interior needs to be gutted and cleaned. Only about 20% of the wood trim inside n...

Looks like the guy took it all off to paint and never put it back on (the leaks from missing hardware ruined the whole interior of the boat) and now I dont know where it g...

Replacing boat interior walls and ceiling idea
I bought my neglected 68 fisherman 32 and have started rebuilding the interior. Looks like the previous owner removed all the hardware from the outside of the boat and did not seal up any of the holes which over the past few years has allowed water to ruin the whole interior. I have studied the inte...

running engines on the hard?
I plan on firing up my engines for the first time this fall on the hard. That is after I let the cylinders soak with oil for a few days and a tune up. What's the best way to start the motors and run till normal operating temp on the hard? Is it as easy as disconnecting the water intake hose after th...
