Re: engines seem locked up
Nice boat, love the aft cabin models. Talked with a fellow that owns a 41', told me the motors will come out the side windows if you remove glass and window tracks. Hopefully that won't be necessary. As stated by fellow M owners, try to free them up first. Good luck and welcome aboard.

Re: Ebay Angel!
Very interesting, looks really nice, but person donating her says both engines are bad. If you look at the engine photo's, these are raw water engines...the boat is docked in Punta Gorda, Fla. Not good. Heck of a deal but whoever buys her will need to move her to a lake or outfit the engines for clo...

Re: Engine Drain Plugs
I went through a similar situation during my first winterizing. In order to save some money, I decided that I would winterize the engines myself, and I'm glad I did. First thing I learned was that all the threaded drain plugs, both the lower two in the block and all the ones in the exhaust manifolds...

Re: Ceramic starter item
Hold on there !! You MUST use the marine specific ballast. The automotive version is not sealed and thus will cause an engine room fire. I think NAPA carries both auto and boat ballasts for close to the same price, but you MUST use the marine version.

Re: Marinette 39 rudders
Same here. My 37' had steel rudders, which ended up rotting away to the point of destroying the cutlass bearings and the packing glands. If the packing is still sealing good, you might be ok, but....If you have it on dry land, you might want to drop them out and look at the shafts. I know it's a pai...

Re: 440 Chryslers in 32ft sedan flybridge
I'm sure they may have, probably a pretty rare option. There is a Sportsman down on the Ohio River that was special built with twin 426 Max Wedge engines. Rumor has it that it flies. Believe it was built for an executive at Marinette.

Re: 37 Sedan- Considering LARGER rudders, thoughts?
This subject opens a lot of interesting questions. Was she originally equipped with Cat's? Or was it repowered? If so, were the props specifically designed for the 3208's? Mine is a 37 Sedan with 360 Mopars, it steers beautifully at idle (both engines running) comes up on plane easily, and goes pret...

Also note that some tachs have, depending on brand, have settings for 4, 6 and 8 cylinders, that may not have been set correctly when installed, and some have a tuning screw in the back that you can fine tune with a pocket screwdriver.
