Re: New member with questions, Sedan 32
Welcome aboard Ed. I’m assuming you purchased “Sea Harmony”. If you don’t have much of a crosswind and both engines you can handle the 32 no problem. If you lose an engine just call ahead on the radio to the fuel dock and they will grab a line to help you in. Best to come in to the end of a dock wit...

Glad to hear that. I fought a starting issue on Mr. Port for 8 years and never cured it, so I appreciate your achievement. Jeff Funny you say this Jeff, I have the same issue with my port engine. Have done all the basics and still takes a long time to wake that engine up after it hasn’t been starte...

Re: Mildew removal
The dehumidifier should do a good. I use one of these https://www.amazon.com/Davis-Instruments-Air-Dryr-1000-Dryer/dp/B0014TMXVA/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=marine+dehumidifier&qid=1559654495&s=gateway&sr=8-2 . No need for drain. Also use a small fan on a timer to circulate the air 4 times a day...

Re: Wax?? Need some guidance
Wax has come a long way since the 80's......... Wash boat with Dawn dish washing liquid. That takes all oils, etc off. Zaino Clear Seal http://www.zainostore.com/product/Z-CS.html Then use Zaino Z-8 for every other wash maintenance. http://www.zainostore.com/product/Z-8.html This stuff wipes on and ...

Cleaning tips and tricks
Orpine This seems to be the best soap per boating forums. Very concentrated and goes a long way. I've used it for the last couple of seasons and it does a good job. Dissolves spider poo if you apply and let sit for a couple of minutes. Orpine Boat Soap & Wax https://www.amazon.com/OPW2-Orpine-B...

Re: running on one engine to save fuel?
Great topic! I’ve asked a few times for someone with a floscan system to post a fuel usage chart for us. Hopefully you floscan guys can help us out this spring. I have a 29 and I use one engine most of the time. About 1700 rpms gets me 7mph. I usually just enjoy a slow cruise for an hour then set an...

Re: Engine oil, transmission fluid and filter types for Chrysler 360
Amazon carries 10w30 Rotella Rotella T4 Triple Protection Diesel Engine Oil 10W-30, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LH7KO1Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_3NECCbR6Y1KT7 That’s what I’ve been using. My engines have 700 hrs and that oil weight doesn’t slip past the rings yet. I do add a 1/2 bottle of zddp additive...
