If you've ever run a, say, 20 foot IO boat, then you'll appreciate that keel! My 32 footer tracked dead straight, hands off the wheel, as we negotiated miles of no wake zones. By comparison, a 20 footers with IO drive waddle all over the place, even with constant steering corrections.

Definitely a good idea. Hard to believe that boats like ours can actually 'survive' while running on what, in essence, is a 120 volt extension cord!

Had that same problem with the Chrysler 360 in my old R/V. (Common problem with RVs.) I eventually solved it by braze welding a built up area where the head had been scoured out. I kept adding/ sanding the bronze weld--and the depression in the head--until the manifold and head met properly to fill ...
