Gave up on mine...installed old mechanical tank gauge. I have to read at the tank but that forces me to open the hatch and check things out.

Re: Bronze thru hull transducer
That surely would help. I did one several years ago on mine. First I coated the portion of transducer that went through hull. Let is cure for 24 hrs. then LIBERLY APPLIED and applied to hull both sides and the insolation plates and let sit for a a few hours to start a cure then snugged them tight. B...

Re: Packing box "wobbling" at low RPMs
Perfection is not a reality. There are just too many factors that effect trueness of the drive line. Prop, Strut alignment, Cutless bearing wear, Coupler, Engine mount wear, Alignment, and yes hull flex! On and On. If you align the shaft and wobble is minimal and the boat is running smooth without e...

Re: Bronze thru hull transducer
Nice find! You may also use the bronze: most our boats have bronze engine thru hulls. They must be isolated from the hull. A piece of mylar or similar insulating material on both sides works well. FYI: Just for the record: There is and will always be confusion regarding our aluminum boats and galvan...

Re: Isolation Transformer
From the schematic looks like you do not split the safety ground and neutral
A galvantic isolator or isolation transformer prevents stray DC current from entering the safety ground thus helps prevent corrosion.

Re: AC wire ? Water heater replacement?
Correct me if I missed this... I believe you said that the Gen. is a 6KW (6,000 watts) And it is setup for a 220 VAC feed to your panel. 1. two legs= 3,000 watts per leg...... = 27 AMPs Per leg. 12 AWG is rated for 20 AMP service (too small for this application) 2,200 Watts 2. 10 AWG which is rated ...
