It's even worse with health care--and it's about to get MUCH worse.

Progressive is who I have. They did not require a survey.....which is pretty much the sole reason I have them.

I am also a fan of Boat US insurance. They paid out my (only) claim - a very large one - with little static and pushback. I am guessing that today, they'd want a survey on an older boat. But surveys are cheap, relatively, and provide very good feedback on things you may overlook.

We have always had Boat US Insurance and are very happy with them. When you join BoatUS, you can also buy towing packages as well.

National Boat Owners (NBOA) had the best rate for my 1978 '37 have been pretty happy with the customer service (though I have not had to file a claim). Their website is https://www.nboat.com/
