I don't know anything about it but i am strongly considering bidding on it. From what I could find online this boat is supposed to weigh only 5000lbs dry.... can anyone confirm? At that weight my current trailer from my totaled 28 would work nicely to get it home. If anyone knows anything about the boat please she's shed some light for us, the outfit selling does not disclose the location for inspection, pretty normal with these auctions for donations I think.

I think it will look like this. When you get to 63 they swept the forward windows more and dropped to two by 1965.
Looks like a 9' - 2" beam according to brochures.

Mine didn't go through either, I bid higher as well, I was up in northern Wisconsin camping and had bad cell service, looks like we missed out.

So I'm now the owner of this 1961 Marinette...Dave's Marine Towing is bringing her to me tomorrow. Name is "Wave Dancer II". Pretty excited to get a master plan put together for the rehab - this old girl has plenty of deferred maintenance waiting to be address, but great bones. I'll post some pictures as soon as I get time.

Anodes need replacing, and apparently there was quite a bit of electricity in the water from the rebar in the concrete harbor - so there is some pitting, especially on the keel. Also seems like a quite a few layers of paint, as the previous owner of 34 years would just put another coat on whenever it was getting dull. Does anyone know if Infrared heat paint removers are effective on marine paint? And what would be the best material to scrape with?
