I have posted my 1974 Express 32' hull on ebay for the last auction run before I remove everything and cut it up with a plasma cutter. If anyone would like to suggest any other location I can post it for sale please do. If anyone is interested please bit on it because I would hate to see it go to waste but I cannot begin working on my 1968 32' fisherman until this one is gone.

Anyone wanna guess how much the total weight of aluminum its gonna be at the scrap yard?
If I scrap it I will make a list with pictures of all the parts I take off that will be for sale.

Re: Last change before scrap yard 1974 Express 32 hull
Hello. We scraped a 1975 32 express flybridge about 2 years ago. I don't rember what it brought , butt it was half what they thought it wood. It took a couple of guys two days to cut it up, It was not that easy. Then the scrap yard docked them for the "paint" It was not clean aluminun. I would guess it weights 2,500.00 lbs of aluminum. In the end, He said he would have been better off giving the hull away. Joe

I'd like to buy the window units in the front. The hinged front windows to be exact.

Re: Last change before scrap yard 1974 Express 32 hull
so I have begun the scrapping process. After further review of the hull it looks like she was in saltwater unprotected for a long time. Then someone did some cheap patching and painted over it. I doubt they even followed the correct process! These is still a lot of pitting visible so with that being said it would have been a big project just to remove all the paint and correctly fix the hull before painting again and rebuilding. I have posted a few pictures and videos of the process so far on the Marinette facebook page and will add them here in the future. I will also be adding a list of parts I have removed that are still usable for sale. Its going to be a short list since since the boat was neglected.
The first thing i did was put the boat on the ground from the stacks of 6x6 lumber it was sitting on. The fastest and safest way was to tie it to my Dodge Ram and pull it off. It handled the 2' fall very well. Only a 6" wide dent along the bottom seam that went about 1/2" in but if it was in the water it wouldn't have compromised the hull. It didnt come far enough forward for the rear end to completely hit the ground.
After re-stabilizing the boat on the ground I removed all the fittings, trim, and windows I could. Then using a sawzall cut all the points attaching the roof and towed if with my truck.
Followed by cutting the front 5 feet of the boat off in one section. I know have the roof and front section cut into 3 foot pieces stacked on two pallets waiting for their trip to the scrap yard. Its been a lot of work so far and has delayed the rebuild on my 32' fisherman but I do need the money for parts before I can start fixing it. I estimate the two pallets to weigh a combined weight of 800lbs which should bring about $450 at the scrap yard.
Also she was not a 1974. Was more like a 1964.

here is where I currently stand with the scrapping project. I was afraid to leave any parts outside because I constantly see scrap rats coming through my parking lot looking for anything they can grab. I already lost the gas tank and I dont plan on giving away anything else!

Well that whole deal was just a bit depressing. I paid $5000 for my 32 and I am glad I did as it was destined for the recycle bin.

Not to be ghoulish, but what did all that aluminum go for? I assume you sold it to someone?
