Depends on what kind of replacements you want. If you want the old fashion ones with the chrome bezel, the kind that uses a standard automotive "taillight" bulb, there's plenty of sources, including truck stops, RV stores, even industrial supply stores like Grainger. If you Google "12 volt RV dome light" it will bring up many suppliers, many of which are updating to modern L.E.D. lamps & fixtures. Grainger still carries the old chrome ones though.

Has someone replaced their incandescent dome light with an LED alternative?
Questions...
1. What wattage / lumens did you use and was it equivalent to or better than the incandescent bult.
2. Did you replace the light entirely? Specifics if you don't mind -or-
3. Did you replace the lamp only with a LED replacement? And if so, what was your source and LED type?

Thx,
Bill

Im testing LEDs now and will get back with everyone. The first bulbs smoked as soon as I turned them on and then I'm reading you have to run a resister with them I'm trying to find a self contained bulb that you do not have to put one in line. If anyone knows of a good setup please let me know.
Thanks

That link is to Stecktronics. Good outfit. Probably about 15 yrs ago, I bought an anchor light replacement from them. easy to install though some small mods were needed to replace the existing Perko. The light could be switched to turn on at dusk/off at dawn, on all the time, flash SOS. And make French Toast. Just kidding about the off at dawn part. If you have a specialized need, call them. They have been at their business long enuf thoroughly know the LED parts issues. And all LED's do not need resistors -- there may have been a polarity mismatch (though that would merely cause the light to not illuminate).
