Bottom paint in Florida

Post by Jcbwell »

I have three questions. First, can anyone recommend a contractor for bottom painting in Florida? Hoping to get answers on both cost & quality. Second, what's a good spec for paint? Sanding then primer (I assume 2 primer coats are adequate), then what works best for salt water use (what have you found performs best, manufacturer/product and # of coats). I see a lot of folks use Interlux, but also refs to Petit and Sea Hawk.

Looking for opinions & success stories!

Thanks, Jeff (not fast Jeff)

Where are you in Florida?

Trilux held up for about a year and a half.

If you are by me in Miami, I recommend you drive your boat as far north as possible to have any work done :)

I'm up near St Aug, so "up north" is no prob! Figured Miami would be $$$.
