Looking good, but I'd use small nylon flat washers instead of that full pattern piece. The reason is to let water flow below the connection, to reduce crevasse corrosion.

Jeff's suggestion is the one that makes best practice. Using thicker rubber or (better) Starboard as Carl did are OK, but the former is less complicated and certainly separates metal from metal. As I reflect on what I did (now nearly 20 yrs ago, I took the base pieces to a machine shop and had them deepen the original channels under the rail feet to promote better drainage. But the use of cheap washers is the elegant solution. (That's why some call Jeff Capt Elegance)

The nylon washer worked well for me also. I put a dab of silicone on each washer and positioned over the screw hole and let it dry in place before I started replacing the rails. This was the "Jeff" method and sure beat trying to get a washer between the base and deck with silicone screws in hand. You really can't tell that the washers are in place once I reinstalled the rail.

Good luck
