Am I missing something or is this tranny missing a NSS? I cannot locate one. There is what seems to be some type of pressure switch on the top of the tranny - not sure the purpose. I will see if I can get a pic, unless someone can unravel the mystery without it. My old 1:1's had the NSS on the side of the tranny.

Are they in the shifter levers? I've never really looked.

If your trans has the switch on it, it would be directly opposite the shift lever, on the right side of the trans. It will be threaded into a small cast cover with 3 bolts holding it to the trans. 2 screw terminals for the wiring.

My boat never had safety switches. Just a small 3 bolt cover over the shift valve. I have seen some shifters with safety switches built in, but not often.

If you need to add one, I should have all the parts to do so.

Thanks - I have a couple trannys laying around with them, hopefully and easy swap of the switch.

Easy swap. It's on the starboard side of the tranny.

Always sounds easy -starter was right in the way so had to do some external modification to the exterior of the switch with a grinder. - Only I will know!
