Strange Marinette?

Post by EWRice »

Spotted this while working on a customers boat. It has Marinette emblems on the side. Welded hull and riveted superstructure.

Not so strange... just on the rare side. In its earliest days, Marinette made houseboats

So would this have been back in the 50s? 60s?

Looks like someone is fixing her up. I may stop by and chat with them sometime.

Not sure whether 50's or 60's..can't remember my full Marinette history. But here's a shot turned up quickly in a google search for "Marinette houseboats" and you will find lots more. Look familiar? This one is from a company sales brochure but there's no copyright date on the page which appears to be a front cover. And, it turned out it wasn';t sales BS when they said it was "Built to last a Lifetime."
