How to post pictures

To answer on how to post pictures, I will start a new thread so we keep one topic per thread. It has been covered here many times, so if you search up there in search you will find lots to read. The big problem is the size limit here, so I go to shrinkpictures.com and follow the directions. Save the reduced data pic ( I name it something reduced or shrunk to 12k or something so you can tell the old and shrunk apart) Then add it as an attachment. Haven't done it for awhile so I will try one here.---Well a HTML file doesn't work, lets try a JPEG of granddaughter holding a salmon.

Well it kind of worked, but it's sideways now and I give up. But you get the idea. --Ed

For those who have MS Paint as an accessory app on their computers (all Windows PC's/laptops would have it - MAC users may have another same type app)....

- You can open the pic in question in Paint.
--> If your pic is skewed (sideways / upside down), you can use the "Rotate" function to get it aligned correctly.
--> Save the file (possibly as another name in case you want to retain the original).
--> The newly named file will remain active / on the screen
- Press <Cntrl> <W> on keyboard which'll open the "resize" function
- You can experiment with the RESIZE section.
--> Adjusting the Horizontal size will automatically adjust the Vertical.
--> I have found that using 25% seems to work well.
- Save the newly adjusted file as a new / like named file.
- See if you're able to post the pic to the site.

** NOTE - if you find you're not able to post the pic due to size limitations, remember to adjust the size of the ORIGINAL (correct alignment) pic. If you adjust the size of the just resized pic, it'll be tiny.
ie. you adjusted the original pic size to 25% of the original size.
-> too big
you then adjust the size of the adjusted size pic by 25%..
-> that pic will be teeny. (might work for a Lilliputian.... :lol: )

It may seem like a lot of steps but once you get the hang of it, it becomes 2nd nature.
