Mufflers

Post by Knotty »

I have a 37’ with twin 454 and the port side is much louder than the other side, where are the mufflers on these?, it looks like the port side could be under the rear shower/head area and does anyone know if these are rebuildable?

Not sure on a double cabin, I have a 37' sedan, and they are under the rear deck. I would guess double cabins are mounted in the walls with a downward tilt to the ends (if they were under the floor they wouldn't be able to drain). Are there access doors behind any of the dresser drawers/bathroom cabinets? The mufflers on mine are big rubber units with internal rubber baffles. The rubber baffles sometimes blow apart. If you go into the Engine/drivetrain sub-thread, I believe there is a picture of a rubber one blown apart. Pretty much throw away and replace.
