Without knowing how much and what parts are covered, this is a total guess here: windshield, deck fittings, hatch

In re-painting my forward deck, I didn't reseal the port light fixture properly and water came in--you wouldn't believe how much! (Only time I ever heard that forward bilge pump run.) I'd start looking there.

The nav lights?
That part of the boat gets a bit of rain from time to time.

My 28' leaks water in from the front cleats and I'm also suspecting the railing stanchions where they bolt into the deck.

Someday I need to take all the deck fittings off, repaint, and seal everything up when I re-install.

This is an old question but after years of curiosity and looking I am certain that air conditioned Marinette hulls condensate on the hull sides and run down into the bilge in the summer. My boat never gets enough water to pump it out but the amount is always relative to how much and how long the AC has been running. It is not possible to have a dry bilge forward if you run Air Conditioning and I am no longer concerned by the small amount that collects since I understand the source.

The lowest part of my express is in the bow. Water that come from the shaft seals ends up there on mime.

My front and rear compartments are separated by the firewall in the engine area in my boat so I do not see any flow back and forth.

Same here...
Wasn't the hull designed changed around 1982 or so?
