Having done this job, I can just say that you should multiply whatever estimated time you think it will take and cost :)

Thank for the info.

I believe that he means a wood or construction glue when putting the reinforced wood underneath the deck and then screwed.

When I replaced the aft deck with Versatex I did add some re-inforcement via aluminum angle and as bolts/nuts. The Versatex/pvc sheet goods are not as dimensionally stable as wood. However, the fact that it will not rot, to me, outweighs the bit of extra work. I will say that the Versatex is not near as "slippery when wet" as I had feared. It really is not bad at all, provided that you are a little bit sure footed.

No, No I meant, I hope that the glue what they used for the existing Nautolec will not fail because
the 1/4" E-522 PlasDeck is glued to it.

We used 1/8 inch aluminum over the wood (with bad sections replaced first). Used cardboard for templates to cut the aluminum. The aluminum was screwed down from above with flat head SS screws in countersunk holes for a flush surface. (MUCH easier to do that working from below deck!)

We then pained it white, but found it wasn't durable enough so we added a rug. Worked great! Cost us very little e(It was a remnant) and we replaced it every few years.

I just recieved my new cockpit floor material yesterday, and cut it out to match the floor. I put down all new plywood (coated with epoxy) and purchased a roll of MIP diamond plate mat from home depot. This stuff comes 10' wide, so I have eliminated all the factory seams except for the hatches. It is extra thick, oil resistant, easy to clean and has a 7 year warranty. I will see if I can post pictures when I finnish the install.

I do know depending on what type of plastic material you use you could experience some buckling of your stainless hinges during winter layup not quite sure how to prevent it as of yet just somethng to be aware of

Home depot calls it HDX flooring. It is designed for garage floors. It should be going in this weekend.
