Bow eye question
Bow eye question
Has anyone put a bow eye on their Marinette? I'm surprised there's not one there? It would sure be helpful if a tow was needed and would also help facilitate loading on a trailer. It seems to be plenty stout structurally. Where would could I find one sturdy enough and are there any consideration?

Re: Bow eye question
It's been done. You need a massive aluminum plate inside that's bent to conform to the shape.

Here's a link to the bow eye that DiverDennis put on his boat.

Re: Bow eye question
Here's what I made for mine. I was putting a new bottom on so put an eye on too. I can pick the front of the boat up with this eye.
