Seating options to add seating to flybridge

Post by Aquaholic »

When we got our 32 foot sedan flybridge a couple of years ago it only came with a single swivel seat on the flybridge for the captain. Someone had removed all of the other seating. I am considering the best options for adding seating to the flybridge. I am leaning towards installing a bench type seat of some sort at the helm so that me and my beautiful navigator can sit beside each other comfortably. Does anybody have suggestions for a best seating option? Maybe pictures of the seating layout on your flybridge? Thanks for the suggestions

Check out Iboats.com They have lots of bench seats and reasonable prices. I replaced mine a few years ago. It will probably not last as long but either will I LOL

I have a partial (like 70%) bench seat on my bridge. The port side is walk around and sits on top of the pedastal that originally held a captains chair. The starboard side is bolted to the inside wall of the bridge surround with a piece of angle. I believe this seat was either an original lower bench, or a modified lower bench. Works great for a couples sunset cruise, or capn' and 4 small kids can fit. I wouldn't trade that setup for anything.
I won't have any pictures until the shrink wrap comes off.

Just don't put too many heavy folks up there underway.

Thanks for replies. Iboats.com has some good options and fair pricing. I keep going back and forth between the bench idea and just adding a second swivel chair. I see advantages to both.
Jeff, it sure takes a lot of nerve for you to call my wife and I fat! ;-) haha
