The EC100, as I understand it, is a one lever control which will engage tx., and than advance throttle. Is this done thru cables? On the 1982 37 sedan I am trying to buy, the picture of the control station shows "Twin Disc" on the control unit which suggests to me it is a twin disc transmission. I hope it isn't a TD502 since I had a bad experience with them on the last boat I owned.

Not sure, but single lever control sure eliminates that "Oh sh*t, I grabbed the wrong lever!" nightmare.

(Ah-hem.)

;) have to agree on the wrong lever nightmare but i like the classic look of the four levers call me crazy. The worst setup I ever saw was on my fathers old fiberglass shell bridge that we thankfully removed that hunk of junk had twin gearshits on the left side of the wheel and twin throttles on the right made it real interesting when you needed to turn into the wind!
