I'm looking for an oil pan gasket for a Chrysler 318, which I believe would be FelPro 17991, Chrysler Marine 3780198, or Victor OS30520M, for an aluminum oil pan. However, it appears that there are none of these in stock anywhere online. Any recommendations for sourcing one of these?
Thanks!
Tim

Re: Chrysler 318 Oil Pan Gasket
Try to contact Lakeland Auto and Marine in Port Clinton Ohio. From the videos I have seen on YouTube, he has rebuilt a fair amount of Chrysler engines and should have a source. He does great work from what I have watched!

Or clean it well and use silicone gasket caulk. You are not sealing any pressure, it doesn't take much.

Fel Pro and Mahle have decided to obsolete the gasket set. There is an outfit in Ohio that offers made to order. Cometic 800-752-9850 P/N M115-094 $35.72. Currently a 4 day lead time.

My mechanic ended up re-using the old gasket.

Re: Chrysler 318 Oil Pan Gasket
Ironically, I recently needed the oil pan gasket. I found out directly that the Cometic gasket is actually not the marine version, it is the automotive. Their tech support didn't know the difference. Fortunately, although Felpro thinks the gasket kit 17350 is obsolete, my local Napa ordered it from them and got it without hassle.

Re: Chrysler 318 Oil Pan Gasket
I had purchased two of the few remaining sets of this gasket set, still have it in the package (mine are leaking too). Does any one know of a company that could reproduce them, a limited run perhaps? I believe most of the 318/360's from the seventies (in M's) used the aluminum pan. I will do some further research myself, may be easier to duplicate than I think. The Chrysler Marine parts manual lists the gaskets for the aluminum pan as 3675835 and steel pan as 3549388. Not sure what the difference is, likely the rubber end pieces, so it may be something as simple as reproducing the rubber parts. I will look into it and repost later.

Re: Chrysler 318 Oil Pan Gasket
I apologize, for the aluminum oil pan, the pan number is 3675835, the GASKET is 3837619. I just checked RockAuto.com, they are showing a listing for the Fel-Pro 17991 (the aluminum pan's gasket). Unfortunately, they do not show how many they have remaining. I know that Rock Auto has a lot of obsolete stuff, they often buy out old overstock and obsolete parts from other parts vendors. I tried to find contact info for Rock Auto, to see exactly how many they have, but can't find a phone number on their website. I have looked at photo's on NAPA's site and can confirm the difference is the rubber pieces. The sides, that are made from cork, or that black fiber cardboard stuff, look the same in both sets. I bought my Fel-Pro set at NAPA and they are showing that 27 sets are still available at Fel-Pro Corporate (I have access to NAPA's inventory thru the repair shop I work at). With luck, Rock Auto still has plenty in their inventory as well. If they do, buy a set even if your boat doesn't need them yet !
