Re: Engine oil
I have twin 1986 360's. I have a friend that swears by Rotella for most applications in his classic cars and his own ford truck daily driver... my question is should I be using that zinc additive aswell with rotella sae 30? also should I use 30 weight or another blend.

YES! I used Lucas ZDDP additive. Half a can per engine.

Re: Engine oil
Jeff, do you use rotella deisel oil? That stuff allready has zinc in it. I'm worried that a additive will be too much with the oil...

Re: Engine oil
I have used Rotella for years with great results. I also add a bottle of Rislone per side at oil change.
Additionally, I add a half dose of Sea Foam at fill up. I don't know if that is overkill, but people comment on how smooth they run.

Re: Engine oil
There's only one: 15 W 40 (as I recall).

Re: Engine oil
You can get Rotella in all the popular viscosities. 15w 40 and sae 30 are most popular. Sae 40 gets used in a lot of diesel boats. They may even be offering 20w 50 and 0w 40, but that might be synthetic.
