1990 32 wiring Diagram?

Post by Bud719 »

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a ‘90 32’ FB Marinette, or any thing close?

Probably a dumb question. I couldn’t find anything on the site.

I’d particularly like to know how the parallel switching happens between lower and upper stations.

Thanks!

Parallel solenoid is inside lower helm on a 32, 1986 Sedan. I assume they remained in the same location until the end of production.
Only 1 switch to engage the solenoid is on the lower helm next to ignition toggles. There is no parallel switch on the bridge unless it was added after market or perhaps factory option?

Pushing the little plunger switch on the helm closes the solenoid/relay and parallels the batteries for starting. Same operation for both engines.

Thanks much - yes mine has only the one solenoid.

I’m trying to figure out how these other switches work. My blower is going on intermittently. If I take out the lower switch, it stops. I can still turn it on from the FB.

If I remove the upper switch instead, the problem returns (the blower goes on intermittently by itself).

I have determined that the Airpax breaker switches are both good.

So so where I must have a short but Not having luck finding it.

I replaced both blowers a few months ago, so I started there, but no joy.

The blower wire from the bridge comes down the pole into the lower helm. If memory serves me correctly it connects to a terminal strip inside the lower helm. The blower switch above the lower helm should also be connected to that strip and then a wire from there should go back to the blowers.
Basically the 2 blower switches are in parallel. You should be able to break out the wire from the bridge at that lower strip and the bridge and test with a meter.
Check the tube hole inside the bridge. There is supposed to be some type of plastic edge protection around the circumference.

-My '88 manual clearly spelled out the parallel switch location, at the lower helm as noted above.
- Your blower problem may be related to a shorted wire.
-I have the manual with wiring diagrams and happily post it but it's pdf and I think this site doesn't accept pdf's. I would be happy to send the manual to anyone who needs one (though I'd much prefer to post it here for posterity). You can post yr email address here if you dare or PM me.

Jralbert, if you have a Gmail account you can upload it to your Google Drive and post a public link for all to download. Or email it to me and I can post it on my Drive.

Thanks Much, Joel and Karl,

My problem has definitely been caused by my Xintex MB-1 Fume detector which has the ability to turn on the blowers when a fume is detected. The system actually not sensing anything so I have disconnected it until I replace it, and my problem has gone away.

I would love to get the PDF, but I can wait to see if you can post it.

I replaced the M-2 Sensor portion which solved the problem
