The 2 black wires that feed the 2 bilge pumps where does the power come from? Took out many of the electrics out of the engine room and there is no power coming off either wire.

I could be very wrong here, but wouldn't the load side be cold until the breaker is switched on, and the feed side be the "hot'" side? Kind of like "line" and "load" side for 120 volt?

I guess another question this time ignition hot lead going to the flybridge ignition-the upper ignition wires are only hot when the lower helm switches are on-second question is if both battery switches are off nothing gets power but if they are still off having the battery charger on will give power 12v to the boat? The reason I am asking this is I really want to leave the bildge pumps on but not much else, my thinking is if a large power surge were to happen the breaker 120v would turn off.
