Thanks again for all the responses to the thread. It's been great reading your comments. I am hoping to be in the water soon and I know the first time I hear those engines fire back up I'll be a different man!

Love all the posts, the hot tub one made me laugh out loud. Just bout my 1975 SedanFlybridge 37" in November, new to Marinette and it's my first boat too !! Newer 360's. well maintained, could use the deck painted. Beautiful interior. All the electronic ignition stuff is still available at the local parts store or Summit racing. All this for under 20 grand. It's light & fast, gets good "gas mileage" if you stay out of the 4 barrels. Had it out in 8 foot seas and handles great (going to the Marinette Rendezvous in Huron) Glad I made the investment. I'll take this over a plastic boat any day.

I keep my mechanicals well maintained. Bottom done every three years.

I have not repainted deck or hull. I am too old and lazy to do it myself.

I did get an estimate of 15K to paint.

Money not well spent in my opinion. No effect on operation or safety.

Adds little to resale.

sad but true

10 years slip fees alone 27,000

15K will take my 29 FB
