I have Lasdrop shaft seals on the Marinette 39 that I purchased this year. They were installed new approximately 4 years by the PO. Yesterday the starboard engine seal was leaking a small stream. It was enough to keep the bilge pump running for a while. I tightened the hose clamps that are at the end toward the transmission and it appears to have stopped leaking.
Am I this lucky that this was all it was or could there be something else causing this?
Do these clamps need tightened periodically?
I will probably snug up the port side also.

Re: Lasdrop shaft seal leak
Just to follow up for others who might be helped in the future.
First I spoke with the folks at LasDrop and they were a great help. I would recommend them with respect to their technical support.
As it turns out the pressure housing collar had slipped and lost the pressure on the seal causing the leak. It was loos enough that I could move it by hand on the shaft. Actually the port engine collar was the same. With the help of the person from LasDrop I was able to adjust the collar into the proper position and tighten it up. I tightened the port engine also.
After installation of the LasDrop system, the collar is supposed to be tightened after 4-6 hours of run time. Maybe that wasn't done. Anyhow it looks like my leak has been taken care of.

Re: Lasdrop shaft seal leak
Every now and then I see this happen because the shaft coupling isn't tight enough on the shaft. Someone will install the new shaft seal system, set the preload on the bellows, and away they go. If the don't get the locking bolts tight enough on the coupling, or don't recheck them after the first few hours of running, the shaft can slide forward in the coupling and loosen the seal.
