Re: 318/392 Stroker Motors
Did not get to change the props this year, will do it in the spring. 210 hours on the engines and they are running great. Winterized the boat last weekend, dewinterize early April. Stay warm until the spring!

Hey Jeff! Spring is two months away, looking foward to pulling Blue Sky to clean the hull, check intakes and anodes and swap out the props. Yes, i beleve the engines are going to live a long life now.. we used good parts so by now any install issues should have raised there head. Fingers crossed!

The "There's no replacement for displacement!" rule wins again.
Fascinating project. What props are you going to use?

Re: 318/392 Stroker Motors
Delta Propeller in Cincinnati recommended 15 x 14.25 Acme 4 blade props with .045 cup. Part no. 2262acme and no.2263acme. My guestimate on the total weight of our boat is 14,000 pounds with all equipment ,fuel, water, iesenglass etc. The engine builder rated the engines at 350h.p. Norris Lake is almost full now with all the rain the southeast is getting and more coming. This will bring lots of debris so i am not sure when we will pull the boat but we are shooting for early April.

Re: 318/392 Stroker Motors
My port engine has a temperture spiking problem. We replaced the impeller but has not changed the problem. Its strange, cruising along at 1200rpm and all of a sudden the temperature spikes. Will replace the thermostat tomorrow and will check the strainer gaskets and intake hose and clamps. I flow looks good at first start up at the dock, went to lunch before heading out of the slip and i noticed very little flow out the exhaust pipe. Any ideas on what to look for are appreciated! Both station gauges are doing the same thing.

Look for an air leak before the pump.

Re: 318/392 Stroker Motors
Disassembled the fresh water strainer, small o ring on the strainer bolt is in good shape. It appears the water is flowing through the system, questioning the engine circulator pump. The raw water pump hose appears to be in good shape, wire reinforced hose.
