Marinette name plate

Post by Pipercubfan »

Hi all: Where can I find a replacement name plate for my 1972 Marinette hard top express. When the boat was painted the painter broke the name MARINETTE on the side of my boat and it could not be repaired. Where can I get another one?
Thanks

If you still have the pieces, you are in luck. If you can't scrounge up a full replacement, mount the pieces on something sturdy and mount that to the hull. I do recall that someone here within the last sevl yrs had a plate made up or figured out how to make a replacement themselves. Try a site search

And if all fails, you could get someone to cut you a decal. All you need is a good photo of the name plate for a graphics shop to produce what you need.

If your name plates are in good enough shape to piece together on a board, and your willing to share them, I will gladly make a mold and pour a set for you and myself. I have been looking for an original to use for the mold.
